Speaker A

I would like to give you a preview of our Sunday morning service on February 9th at Middletown Baptist Church.

Speaker A

We're going to continue on in our study in Second Corinthians, and we're going to be looking at how we can continue on in the ambassadorship of being a disciple for Christ.

Speaker A

Now, being an ambassador means that we represent the Lord in what we say and what we do.

Speaker A

And we're going to look at Second Corinthians, chapter 10, starting in verse 7, and see what it means to be a messenger of the Gospel.

Speaker A

And we're going to look at a sermon called the Marks of a Messenger.

Speaker A

And in Second Corinthians, Paul is essentially defending himself against folks that are calling him a false teacher.

Speaker A

And really, the, the irony of the whole situation is, is that the false teachers are the ones calling Paul a false teacher.

Speaker A

And so Paul is speaking to the church there in Corinth, and he's basically explaining to them how to identify an authentic messenger or minister of the Gospel.

Speaker A

And so we as Christians need to be able to discern the true message and true messengers of of the gospel, but also in turn be true messengers of the gospel.

Speaker A

If we're not careful, we can be deceived by false teachings and false teachers.

Speaker A

And if we are not careful, we can maybe intentionally or unintentionally become people that are not representing the truth of the gospel in our lives.

Speaker A

And so we're going to look at that.

Speaker A

The Marks of a Messenger.

Speaker A

We encourage you to be out on Sunday morning at 10:30 here at Middletown Baptist Church.

Speaker A

If you're not able to be with us in person, we live stream on YouTube and Facebook and we replay the sermon on this podcast channel Monday mornings.

Speaker A
